Where kids can get free meals this summer in the St. Louis area

Participating St. Louis, St. Louis County and St. Charles City-County library locations are offering free meals for those 18 and under.

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis, St. Louis County and St. Charles City-County libraries are partnering with Operation Food Search to make sure children that rely on free school meals don't go hungry this summer.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Operation Food Search's Summer Meals program operates from June 5 through Aug. 18 in the St. Louis metro area.

In 2022, Operation Food Search provided nearly 30,000 summer meals to kids, and the organization is working to increase the number of children who utilize the free meal program.

Meals are available to St. Louis-area kids 18 years and younger at the following library locations this summer:

St. Louis Public Library

Baden

  • 8448 Church Drive, St. Louis, MO 63147.
  • Meals are served from 3-4:45 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Carpenter

  • 3309 South Grand Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63116.
  • Meals are served from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

Central

  • 1301 Olive St., St. Louis, MO 630103.
  • Meals are served from 3-4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.

Julia Davis

  • 4415 Natural Bridge Ave., St. Louis, MO 63115.
  • Meals are served from 3:30-4:30 p.m. daily.

Walnut Park

  • 5760 West Florissant Ave., St. Louis, MO 63120.
  • Meals are served from 4-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

St. Louis County Library

Bridgeton Trails

  • 3455 McKelvey Road, Bridgeton, MO 63044.
  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Florissant Valley

  • 195 South New Florissant Road, Florissant, MO 63031.
  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Jamestown Bluffs

  • 4153 North Highway 67, Florissant, MO 63034.
  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Lewis & Clark

  • 9909 Lewis and Clark Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63136.
  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Natural Bridge

  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Parkview

  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Prairie Commons

  • Meals are served from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.

Rock Road

Parkways Schools' nutrition service partner, Chartwells, will be serving free lunch to kids 18 and under June 5-30.

  • Meals are served at 11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at Waterfront Crossing Pool, 807 Cross Creek Drive, Creve Coeur, MO 63141.
  • Meals are served at 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 840 Demonico Drive, Manchester, MO 63021.
