19-year-old shot, killed in north St. Louis Tuesday night

The victim was unconscious and barely breathing when he was rushed to the hospital. He died shortly after.

ST. LOUIS — A 19-year-old was shot and killed in north St. Louis Tuesday night.

Police said the shooting happened on the 700 block of North Euclid Avenue at around 5 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim shot in the back of the head.

The victim was unconscious and barely breathing when he was rushed to the hospital. He died a short time later.

Police announced on Nov. 17 that a suspect was arrested and in custody. The police department asked for charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

However, on Nov. 22, a police spokesperson said the circuit attorney's office refused warrants "due to lack of witness corroboration and information."
