2 wanted for kidnapping after 19-year-old robbed at gunpoint

Police are searching for two men in connection with a reported robbery and kidnapping in the River Market area of downtown Little Rock on Sunday.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Police are searching for two men in connection with a reported robbery and kidnapping in the River Market area of downtown Little Rock on Sunday.

According to a Little Rock police report, an officer responded to the 700 block of West Markham St. for a call about a robbery.

When the officer arrived, he found the victim who said that he went to the Indian Food Fest in the River Market. When the victim left the event and headed back to his car in the parking lot under the 2nd and Ferry streets overpass, he alleges that two black males approached him.

The report continues that one of the men asked the victim for his cell phone, which he gave him. After the call was over, the man asked the victim for a ride.

Once in the car, one of the men charged his gun and stuck it in the side of the victim and informed him he was being robbed. The man then ordered the victim to drive to an ATM at Arvest Bank on South Broadway St., where he took out $140 in cash and notified the men that that was all he had.

The men then ordered the victim to take them to a restaurant on South Broadway St. The victim alleges that he parked his car and the men took his phone, cards, and electronics and fled behind the Rally’s through a hole in the fence.

The officer attempted to get prints from the vehicle, but it appeared that they had been wiped off by the robbers.

Offenses listed on the report for the two responsible are kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and felony heft of property.
