ST. LOUIS COUNTY - Police took three people into custody and are still looking for another after police said shots were fired out of a stolen car that fled police in St. Louis County Thursday.

According to a press release from the St. Louis County Police Department, officers in Dellwood, Missouri, responded to a call for shots fired from a car on South Schlueter Avenue. The car fled on Chambers Road.

A short time later, officers spotted the car and were able to identify it as a stolen vehicle that was also wanted in connection with a robbery in Mayland Heights.

About an hour later, they found the car again and attempted to arrest four people who were getting into the car. The people — three men and a woman — jumped into the car and drove off. They eventually stopped near an apartment building near the intersection of Leisurewood Court and Carefree Lane.

Police took the woman and two of the men into custody, while one of the men got away. Police said they recovered three guns on the scene.

There were no injuries at any incident. Charges are pending.
