ST. LOUIS — Another man was arrested and charged for riding an ATV on the streets of St. Louis.

Jamell Bishop was charged with unlawfully operating an ATV and resisting arrest by fleeing after a Tuesday incident.

This is the second person to be arrested since the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said it would crack down on illegal ATV activity in the City of St. Louis.

Police said they’ve received reports of large groups of ATV riders causing disturbances throughout the city. Police said this is the first arrest they've made since the announcement.

'Effective immediately, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department will be enforcing a State Statute that prohibits the operation of ATVs on City streets.

A violation would be considered a Class C misdemeanor and drivers of ATVs on City streets will be subject to arrest and the towing of the ATV.'
