ST. LOUIS – Starting Monday, St. Louis will be home to two new gun violence de-escalation centers organized by Better Family Life and supported by the Missouri Foundation for Health and Washington University.

There are currently four gun violence de-escalation centers in St. Louis.

Now, Better Family Life is expanding the operation. Since the centers opened in December of 2016, Better Family Life said 22 volatile situations were de-escalated, one fugitive turned himself in and three people have been relocated to keep them safe.

There is also a 24-hour de-escalation hotline. You can call it at 314.203.3900.
