FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. — The inmate that escaped the Franklin County Jail early Wednesday morning has been captured, deputies said.
Around 6 a.m., a kitchen staff member reportedly opened the back door to enter the building. As she unlocked the door, 37-year-old Ricky A. Johnson Jr. ran out the opened door.
At around 2 p.m., someone spotted him near Prarie Dell and Denmark Roads in Union, Missouri. Police eventually caught him in the Stable Stone Subdivision.
Johnson was being held at the jail on charges of stolen property, property damage, burglary, and stealing. He was charged with escaping from confinement. His bond was set at $100,000 for Wednesday's crime.
