ST. LOUIS — Friends and family of the Imo's driver who was shot in South City are demanding justice.

They say Dave Matthews was a hard-working man who delivered pizzas for Imo's and worked at local music store CD Warehouse. His friends said he was caring, genuine and that he loved his family, music and animals.

They were devastated when they learned someone shot Matthews twice in the neck while he delivered a pizza on Potomac street on the Fourth of July.

Relatives thought he would eventually recover, but he died early Sunday morning.

Dave’s sister, Maria Abcobasso-Knight, said her brother was loving, quirky was never mean to anyone. She said she’s just really comprehending everything right now because this situation is so tragic.

She can’t imagine someone being so awful someone so nice.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them. If you would like to remain anonymous, you can call CrimeStoppers at 866-371-8477.

Imo's donated $10,000 to CrimeStoppers in honor of Matthews death. There is a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case.

"We are completely saddened by the loss of one of their employees. We want to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Matthews,” says Carl Imo, President of Imo’s Pizza.
