FERGUSON, Mo. — A fight at an intermural basketball game at Ferguson Middle School ended up with a student in the hospital with a graze wound Wednesday.

Ferguson police said a group was kicked off school property Wednesday for fighting at a basketball game. They said the fighting continued in a nearby neighborhood, and a Ferguson Middle School student was shot in the leg.

The boy ran back to the school to get help. He was taken to Children's Hospital and is expected to be OK. Ferguson Fire Chief John Hampton said it was a graze wound.
