Florissant police looking for man who sexually assaulted woman as she prepared to open store

FLORISSANT, Mo. — Police are looking for a man they said sexually and physically assaulted a woman as she was preparing to open the Five Below store Wednesday morning.

Police said a woman was walking out the back door of the store on North Highway 67 a little after 7 a.m. when she was approached by a man behind the store. She told police the man forced her into the back of the store.

Once inside, she said the man sexually and physically assaulted her. Police said the man was wearing gloves and had a red bandanna over his face at the time of the attack.

The man ran off and left the scene. It is unknown if he ran away from the scene of fled in a car.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment but has since been released.
