ST. CHARLES, Mo. – A St. Charles man was charged with a sex crime after police say he forced a 15-year-old foreign exchange student to have deviate sexual intercourse.

David Lindley, a St. Charles resident, was charged with statutory sodomy on Feb. 22, and has since posted bail.

According to the probable cause statement, the 15-year-old male student lived with Lindley for a six-month period from Aug. 1 2015 to Feb. 19 2016. Police say over that time, Lindley forced the student to take off his clothes about once a month so Lindley could use oil on the victim's body and touch the victim's genitals.

Police say the victim recorded one of the events to have proof if he decided to tell anyone. Police seized that video as well as other evidence described by the victim during an interview at the Child Center.

According to the probable cause statement, Lindley had a foreign exchange student living in his home at the time the charges were filed, but there was another adult who could care for the student. When Lindley paid bail, he was ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 21.
