HIGH RIDGE, Mo. – The Hillsboro mayor is facing a number of charges-- after police say he assaulted and harassed a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy.
Dennis Bradley is facing charges of fourth-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and stalking.
He reportedly followed an off-duty deputy out of a gas station in High Ridge. The sheriff said Bradley followed the deputy to his car, and, after a warning, poked him in the chest.
Bradley resisted the arrest and had to be pepper sprayed.
The sheriff's office says Bradley has a history of confronting that deputy. The deputy reportedly arrested one of Bradley's family members several years ago.
