EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – An Illinois man out on bond for an alleged bank robbery was arrested Saturday morning and charged with his third DUI since 2005.

A press release from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department said Eric V. Stevenson Jr., 37, was charged with felony subsequent DUI and driving on a revoked license, both of which are felony charges. Because he was charged with DUI in 2005 and 2006, the DUI charge was raised to Felony Subsequent DUI, a class 2 felony.

Police said Eric V. Stevenson Jr. was speeding in a 2003 Ford Expedition on Illinois Route 161 near St. Clair Avenue at around 10:35 when he was pulled over. They conducted field sobriety tests before placing him under arrest. When he was taken to jail, he registered a 0.115 on his breath test.

The press release said Stevenson has a lengthy criminal record and was out on bond for a bank robbery in Cahokia in October of 2017.

His bond was set at $50,000.
