WELLSTON, Mo. — A man was in custody and charged with murder Sunday after police said she shot and killed a woman in Wellston, Missouri, on the Fourth of July.

Police said they were called to the 1500 block of Wellston Place where they found 38-year-old Pamela Taylor shot and killed in the street near her home.

On Saturday, police identified 27-year-old Jonathan A. Jolliff as a person of interest and took him into custody. On Sunday, Jolliff was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.

He is being held without bond.
