Police are investigating after a man was found outside a church shot multiple times Monday afternoon.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police said the shooting happened near the intersection of Bishop Scott Avenue and Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. At around 3:30, police were called to the 4600 block of Page Avenue in the Lewis Place neighborhood, where the man was found with multiple gunshot wounds.
Video showed police investigating at the entrance of Westside Missionary Baptist Church.
Police said the victim, a 57-year-old man, was conscious and breathing when they arrived on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
