Man shot by teens after crash in north city

A 34-year-old man said he was at the intersection of Dr. Martin L. King and Kingshighway when his car was hit by another car.

ST. LOUIS — An investigation is underway after a man was shot following a crash in north St. Louis Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to the 5000 block of Dr. Martin L. King around 2:40 p.m.

A 34-year-old man said he was at the intersection of Dr. Martin L. King and Kingshighway when his car was hit by another car. He got out of his car to approach the car had just hit him and that’s when they started arguing.

When the man turned around to go back to his car, he heard several gunshots and was shot. The two teens fled from the scene in a silver car.

The victim was transported to a hospital.
