LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – Little Rock police say that a new tool may be to thank for saving someone involved in a shooting Saturday night.

Officers responded to a shooting at a home off West 23rd St., where they found a man shot.

The man was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition after surgery.

However, the police who go to the scene first were well-equipped and acted quickly.

“You know, we all have our own tourniquets now. Because he was shot in the arm and it went through his artery, police got there first and put the tourniquet on and we think that may have saved his life,” said Lt. Steve McClanahan of the Little Rock Police Department.

There are currently no leads in the cast at this time.

If you have information regarding any of these incidents, you are asked to call Little Rock Police.
