Roommate accused of secretly taping woman

A St. Louis man is facing one count of invasion of privacy after police said he was secretly videotaping a woman he was living with.

According to charging documents from St. Louis County Police, John Bilgere, 26, was charged with one count of invasion of privacy on May 19 after police said he was secretly videotaping a woman he was living with.

According to charging documents from St. Louis County Police, John Bilgere, 26, was charged with one count of invasion of privacy on May 19.

Police say the victim found a video of herself on Bilgere's computer. Bilgere was arrested, and police said he confessed to hiding a camera in the victim's bedroom.

After police investigation, more videos and pictures were found, many of which showed the victim partially- or fully-nude.

According to charging documents, police believe the recordings spanned from January of 2013 to July of 2015.

Bilgere is being held on a $20,000, cash-only bond.
