2 teens turn themselves into police after 15-year-old killed, 2 others injured

CAHOKIA, Ill. — Two teenagers turned themselves into police early Wednesday morning after a 15-year-old was killed and two others were injured in a Cahokia, Ill., shooting Monday morning.

Cahokia police said three teenagers were struck by gunfire in the shooting happened on Westwood Drive.

The two suspects turned themselves into the East St. Louis Police Department on Tuesday night. The pair are being held at the St Clair County Detention Center.

The St. Clair County Coroner's Office confirmed Tuesday morning that 15-year-old Trarnez Brown was killed in the shooting.

One of the suspects, 16-year-old Arnett Ramsey, has been charged with first degree murder and two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm. He is being held on a $750,000 bond. Ramsey is being charged as an adult.

A GoFundMe page was started to help the victim's family.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Department and Cahokia Village Police Department are helping with the investigation as well.
