A Lincoln County mother and father are in custody facing drug and child endangerment charges after police say they found meth and heroin in their home Tuesday.

Katrina, 31, and Christopher Maxson, 32, are each charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after police say they found drugs in their home.

According to a press release from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, the Lincoln County Drug Task Force got a tip Tuesday about drug activity on the 1200 block of Marigold Court in Troy, Missouri. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home, and carried it out Tuesday afternoon.

Police said they found meth and drug paraphernalia in the master bathroom and a syringe in the main bathroom where their two sons, 8 and 9, kept their toothbrushes. They also found meth and heroin in the basement.

The children were taken into protective custody and placed with a family member.

Both parents are being held in the Lincoln County Jail under $15,000, cash-only bonds.
