ST. LOUIS — A woman was shot and injured in north St. Louis Wednesday afternoon.
Police said they were called to the 4000 block of Ashland where they wound the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. She was awake and breathing when she was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police have not said what led up to the shooting, but a car on the scene had multiple bullet holes in the door.
The investigation is ongoing.
