Students at Confluence Academy South City wish for more recess equipment

ST. LOUIS – As kids go back-to-school, students at a south St. Louis school are hoping for more things to do when they have recess.

Confluence Academy South City does not own the building and they have some strict rules about what they can do with the building, according to the GoFundMe.

A fifth grader shared with the school newspaper, there’s not a lot of things to do. “There are not a lot of things to do. People are always bored because not everyone plays sports outside like basketball or soccer,” Meiyah said.

Staff wants to raise money to paint their playground and purchase supplies for the kids at recess.
