CLAYTON, Mo. — Police and school leaders are investigating after graffiti with a racial slur and threatening language was found in the music room of Clayton High School, a letter to parents said.

Assistant Principal Ryan Luhning said the graffiti in a band practice room was discovered Monday by a student. The student reported it to a teacher who then told administrators.

School leaders called police for help looking into the graffiti.

The letter said the room was used by outside organizations over the weekend, which made the investigation more difficult. They do not think there is an actual threat to students, but they are still trying to figure out who did it.
