Global Health Scholars Week comes to Washington University

There will be health screenings, cultural performances, ethnic food and a marketplace where you can buy work from local artists.

St. Louis (KSDK) -- The Washington University School of Medicine strives for advances in medicine in the U.S. and around the world. Next week, that international effort is marked with Global Health Scholars Week.

Global Health Scholars Week is September 24 through September 27, 2012. Program co-director Basia Najarro and Global Health Scholar, Fatima Karaki, joined Art Holliday to talk about the program and the event.

Global Health Scholars Week is Monday through Thursday at the Ellen S. Clark Hope Plaza next to the BJC Institute of Health.
