ST. LOUIS — Anheuser-Busch donated thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer to first responders in St. Louis County and the City of St. Louis who are on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, St. Louis County Police Department, St. Louis Fire Department and other first responders in the county and city received hand sanitizer.

St. Louis County police said Anheuser Busch donated a total of 8,448 bottles of sanitizer to the county.

“Thank you to A-B for stepping up to serve your community. #314together,” St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson said on Twitter.

In March, Anheuser-Busch announced it would start making bottles of hand sanitizer. Stumpy's Spirits Distillery in Illinois is strictly producing sanitizer during the coronavirus pandemic.
