At least four motorcycles were involved in a chain-reaction crash that killed two people early Friday morning.

ST. LOUIS — Two motorcyclists were killed and several others were injured in a motorcycle crash early Friday morning.

Interstate 70 was shut down near Union Boulevard for several hours while police investigated the crash.

Police said five motorcycles were going west on I-70 at a "high rate of speed" when the motorcycle in the front crashed into a Dodge Nitro. That rider was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The other motorcyclists fell as a result of the crash, and one of those riders was hit and killed by another driver.

The motorcyclists killed were identified as 31-year-old Lekeevis Lee and 32-year-old Terrell Henderson.

Three other motorcycle riders were taken to the hospital for treatment.
