2 dead, 3 injured in north St. Louis crash

Five people were transported to hospitals. It's unclear what caused the crash.

ST. LOUIS – A second person has died after a crash in north St. Louis last week.

Emergency crews were called to Halls Ferry Road and McLaran Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Thursday. After an investigation, police found a car was speeding south on Halls Ferry and tried to make a left turn onto McLaran, when it struck a car trying to turn right onto Halls ferry.

A passenger in the speeding car, 17-year-old Armani Hester, was thrown from the car and died on the scene. Another passenger of the same car, 16-year-old Demerra Randolph, died at the hospital on Monday.

Three other people were taken to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the speeding car was in critical condition, the other people were in better shape.
