ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Six kids were taken to the hospital and two of them remain in critical condition after a car crash in St. Louis County on Thursday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a release that a 29-year-old woman was driving northbound on Hanley Road, south of Bel-Ridge, with six kids in her car when she went to turn onto Albin Avenue. The driver of a second car that was driving southbound crashed into her car.

Every child was transported to the hospital: two nine-year-olds, three 10-year-olds and an 18-month-old.

The 18-month-old and a 10-year-old were still in critical condition on Friday.

Neither driver was hurt. The driver of the second car, a 33-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, but no charges have been filed at this time.
