O’FALLON, Mo. – An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting in O’Fallon, Missouri Friday morning.
Officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Mission Hills Drive around 11:45 a.m. for a mental health follow up.
During the follow up, Dale Weich, 64, pulled out a handgun. The officer was forced to shoot Weich, police said. Officers on scene immediately rendered aid.
Weich was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
