Newborn located safe after Amber Alert

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the newborn was located safe around 8:30 p.m.

LEBANON, Mo. — An Amber Alert for a newborn has been canceled.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol originally issued the alert around 5:15 p.m. for a newborn girl who was missing from Lebanon.

The highway patrol had previously said two men supposedly were taking the newborn girl to an unknown hospital in the Laclede County area for post-natal care and they never made it to the hospital.

Lebanon is located about two and a half hours from St. Louis.

Authorities have not said where or how the newborn was found, but she was located 'safe.'

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
