PARK HILLS, Mo. – The 5 On Your Side Weather team has been tracking isolated showers and thunderstorms south of St. Louis that have caused flash flooding issues.

A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 9:30 PM for parts of St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties due to heavy rain in a short amount of time. 5 On Your Side Radar has indicated about 4" of rain has fallen between Park Hills and Farmington in less than an hour.

Emergency responders reported to the NWS at least one person was trapped in a home in Park Hills before 3:30 PM, and Main Street was closed in town.

Heavy rain continues over the area with the storm moving slowly northeast at only about 5 mph. Gusty winds between 40-50 mph and hail between 1/2" and 1" are also possible with the cluster of storms moving into Ste. Genevieve County.
