Aviation firm acquires hangar at St. Louis Downtown Airport for $1.4 million

West Star and Bi State Development Agency, which owns the airport, entered into an agreement for the aviation firm to provide its services at St. Louis Downtown Airport.

West Star Aviation, which has a headquarters in East Alton, Illinois, has acquired a 43,000-square-foot hangar at St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia for $1.36 million.

West Star and Bi State Development Agency, which owns the airport, entered into an agreement for the aviation firm to provide its services at St. Louis Downtown Airport. West Star is a maintenance repair and overhaul organization (MRO) and specializes in the repair and maintenance of airframes, windows and engines, as well as major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, surplus avionics sales, accessory services, paint and parts.

“The addition of West Star Aviation at St. Louis Downtown Airport further increases our worldwide presence in the MRO industry, and continues to demonstrate how public-private partnerships elevate our region,” airport Director Erick Dahl said in a statement.
