NEW BADEN, Ill. — A boil order was issued for the Village of New Baden in the Metro East over the weekend.
Sunday, the village announced the boil order into effect due to a damaged fire hydrant. The boil order will be in effect for all drinking water for a "limited area" on East and West Ash Street from North Lincoln to North 1st Street. According to the village, only 31 homes will be affected by this boil order.
The order will be in effect for approximately 48 hours.
The village reminded its residents to boil water for three minutes before consumption under any use.
