ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL — Lombardo Homes, McKelvey Homes and Payne Family Homes broke ground Monday morning on a 253-home development in St. Charles that officials expect to be worth more than $100 million when construction is finalized.

The new home community, called The Villages at Sandfort Farm, will be located on a 125-acre site near Interstate 70 between Zumbehl and Truman roads. The land was acquired from the Sandfort family.

“It has been a wonderful experience to work with the Sandfort family throughout this process,” said Mike Van Pamel, president of Lombardo Homes. “We truly look forward to building homes for all the families who will call Villages at Sandfort Farm home, just as this land has been called home by the Sandforts for so many years.”
