ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL -- The Four Seasons Hotel in downtown St. Louis will open the doors Aug. 29 to its highly-anticipated Cinder House restaurant from chef Gerard Craft.

Cinder House will replace the hotel's existing Cielo Restaurant, which will serve a limited menu until Cinder House's opening.

“With Cielo, we always felt like a hotel restaurant,” Chloe Caylor, a spokesperson for the Four Seasons, said. “The goal with Cinder House was to create something different, to create a sophisticated environment that appeals to everyone, not just our hotel guests.”

The hotel and Craft worked with Sasha Aleksandr Malinich of CASCO + R|5 design agency on the design of the restaurant. Paric Corp. served as general contractor.

The hotel declined to share how much it invested to revamp the space, but according to building permit records on the city of St. Louis website, nearly $1.4 million has been invested for a restaurant and patio on the eighth floor of the building, which is the floor where Cinder House is located.
