Sweetie Pie’s Kitchen may have exited the Grove spot it briefly called home — but creditors are still seeking tens of thousands of dollars from the restaurant.

First, more details are now known about the soul food eatery’s closure.

Robbie Montgomery founded Sweetie Pie’s, but the location in The Grove, at 4270 Manchester Ave., closed in July 2016, the same month Montgomery filed a federal lawsuit against son James “Tim” Norman.

Norman, via his Sweetie Pie’s Kitchen, opened Sweet Times restaurant in the same space later that year.

Montgomery still owns Sweetie Pie’s The Upper Crust, located at 3643 Delmar Blvd., and a Sweetie Pie’s location at 9841 W. Florissant Ave. Her reality show, “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s,” is still airing on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
