ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNALTim Thornton, CEO of the Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale law firm, died as a result of injuries suffered when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a truck Sunday afternoon in Wildwood, according to police. He was 64.

Thornton and the truck, a Dodge Ram pickup, were traveling west on Missouri 100 when the collision occurred about 4:45 p.m., St. Louis County Police reported. The driver of the truck, a 62-year-old man, remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police hadn't publicly named Thornton until Tuesday morning and have not yet named the truck driver.

Thornton was taken to a hospital for treatment and was pronounced dead several hours later, police said.
