CLAYTON, Mo. – Clayton officials met with several Washington University students who were falsely accused of dining and dashing at an IHOP.
Last Saturday, 10 black students at Washington University were walking along Brentwood Boulevard after leaving the IHOP on Clayton Road. The group was walking toward the Galleria MetroLink Station when two Clayton police officers stopped them and told them they were suspects in a crime that had just happened at the IHOP down the street.
According to both police and IHOP management, a group of customers left without paying their bill.
Several of the students shared their receipts to show that they had paid.
