Passenger suffers life-threatening injuries, 2 others hurt in crash near Lutheran High School North

JENNINGS, Mo. — Three people were taken to a hospital, including a 20-year-old man who suffered life-threatening injuries, after a two-car crash in right in front of Lutheran High School North in Jennings, Missouri, Thursday morning.

Police said they were called to the intersection of Lucas and Hunt Road and Crusader Drive at around 9:15 for a report of a crash. Police said a Mazda 3 with two people inside was driving south when it crossed into the wrong direction of traffic and struck a Buick Century heading the other direction.

Police said a 20-year-old man who was a passenger in the Mazda suffered life-threatening injuries, the most serious injuries of the people involved. The 22-year-old woman driving the Mazda and the woman in her 30s driving the Buick were both taken to the hospital for treatment but were not hurt as badly as the man.
