Family needs community's help finding Olivette couple missing since Thursday

An Olivette family has been worried sick about a couple who went missing in North Saint Louis County on Thursday.

OLIVETTE, Mo. — An Olivette family needs help finding a couple who went missing on Thursday afternoon.

Kelly Laws spent the weekend looking for her sister-in-law, Michele Laws, and Michele's partner Igor Zhukov after they went missing on Thursday afternoon. They were last seen at the QuikTrip near the intersection of Interstate 270 and Lilac Avenue in north Saint Louis County.

“Their phones were turned off thereafter and they haven’t been seen or heard from since,” Kelly said. “We are obviously very concerned that there’s some sort of foul play at this point.”

Michele’s mother was the last to see the couple on Thursday afternoon just before they went missing.

Michele Laws is a 43-year-old white woman, 5-foot-4 and 110 pounds. She has blue eyes, blonde hair and was last seen wearing a silky orange shirt with light-colored blue jeans.

Igor Zhukov is a 47-year-old white man, 5-foot-10 and 220 pounds. He is bald with blue eyes. He was last seen wearing black pants and a dark jacket.

The couple was driving a dark-colored Nissan Sentra, Missouri license plates: SM1R54N. There’s an “Old Bonhomme Elementary” and a “DaySpring Arts and Education” bumper stickers on the back.

The dedicated and thoughtful parents were supposed to take their daughters, ages 13-years-old and 8-years-old, to piano and swim practices on Thursday evening. But Michele’s mother became worried when no one showed up.

“Automatically concerned, because it's not like them,” the sister-in-law said.

As police help the family uncover answers, the family is holding out hope the couple will turn up safely.

“This family, parents to two beautiful girls, their parents have disappeared, and we need them home,” Kelly said.
