A young mother of three was shot and killed in Ferguson. Now, the children's father has been charged with her murder.
Ferguson police say someone forced their way into the home of Jeanie Miller and shot Miller and a man named Eric Johnson. It happened around 8 a.m. Saturday. Miller and Johnson both died.
Miller's mother, Sonya Bozeman, said Miller and Johnson were friends. Bozeman said her daughter filed a protective order against the father of her three children, her ex-boyfriend Darrick Barber.
Barber has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and one count of burglary.
Police said Barber is not yet in custody.
Bozeman said her daughter was loving, funny and kind. She said she was a good mother who wanted to be a writer.
Bozeman said she is going to do her best to take care of her daughter's three young children. If you would like to help her, you can give to her GoFundMe. The donated money will help Bozeman with the children and funeral costs.
