Flooding suspends Amtrak service from St. Louis to Kansas City

Chartered buses will cover the suspended routes, but travelers should expect delays.

ST. LOUIS — Amtrak has suspended train services between Kansas City and St. Louis, and they say flooding is to blame.

A press release said freight trains being diverted from the Union Pacific Railroad has caused additional volume on the tracks. Because of that, they have suspended service.

Chartered buses will cover the suspended routes, but travelers should expect delays.
