16-year-old Trenton Crane was supposed to be a Junior next year at Herculaneum High School.

Now, his family is remembering him as a boy who always had a smile on his face and always trying to help others.

"If he would see you down, he would go out of his way to make you happy," his father Brandon Crane said. "He always put everybody else before him and that's what made him so special."

Despite his death taking a toll on them, his family said it's his life on Earth that has made the biggest impact.

"There wasn't a person that didn't meet Trenton and didn't like him," Brandon adds.

Annisa Wileman is Trenton's aunt. She remembered her nephew, as someone who always had a grin from ear to ear.

"He was the most loving kid I have ever met in my life. Just so loving and just wanted to help people all the time," Annisa said.

As for Trenton's dad, he said that Trenton adored his two brothers. A clear sign, that family came first in their household.

"He was my mini-me you know, he was exactly like me. He tried to mimic me and that's the greatest flattery a dad can have that he wants to be exactly me," Brandon said.

And while this tight-knit family tries to grasp the pain, they are doing everything they can to just stick together and remember Trenton's life as a meaningful one.
