WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. – Investigators with the Washington Park Police Department and Illinois State Fire Marshall are investigating after firefighters battled six fires Saturday.

Washington Park Fire Chief Sharon Davis said they battled fires at three vacant houses, a detached garage, a school bus that was being used for storage and two outer buildings.

It took firefighters six hours to put out the fires, and no one was injured but the fires were ruled suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing.
