ST. LOUIS — One person was killed outside of a north St. Louis gas station late Wednesday night, police said.
Around 10:30 p.m., police were called to the 2800 block of North Vandeventer Avenue, near the intersection of Saint Louis Avenue, for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, one man was found with gunshot wounds near a ZX Express gas station and was taken to the hospital.
The man was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Crews with 5 On Your Side found the intersection was taped off with a number of evidence markers laid down along the street. A witness to the shooting told our crews they heard an exchange of gunshots between two people.
Police are investigating the shooting.
