Missouri man loses Supreme Court fight to grow marijuana

Mark Shanklin is appealing a conviction for marijuana to the Missouri Supreme Court.

One man fighting to legalize marijuana in Missouri will now face jail time.

Mark Shanklin took his case to the Missouri Supreme Court. He was convicted a year ago for growing 300 marijuana plants.

He challenged the conviction saying Missouri's right to farm amendment gives him and others the right to grow pot.

He lost his challenge and will now have to spend 120 days in prison.
