New York Yankees send condolences to North County Police Cooperative and family of Officer Langsdorf

The Yankees have been quietly sending condolences to families and departments of fallen officers around the country for the past few years.

The North County Police Cooperative shared one of the memorials they've received in response to the death of Officer Michael Langsdorf on Facebook Wednesday.

This memorial was from the New York Yankees.

Yes, those New York Yankees.

The team has observed the practice of quietly sending condolences to families and departments of fallen members of law enforcement everywhere around the country for the past few years.

The message on the card read: "With deepest sympathy our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Langsdorf family, and the family of the North County Police Cooperative. The New York Yankees."
