ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A precautionary boil water advisory has been lifted for parts of south St. Louis County and Jefferson County.

Water quality tests confirmed the water is safe to drink an use again, according to Missouri American Water. Residents do not need to boil their water before using it.

A water main break at Bowles Avenue led to the advisory starting Saturday morning. About 10,000 customers in south county—including Fenton and unincorporated parts of the county—were affected.
