The August housing report is out, and usually this time of year the housing market slows down, but this year it hasn't.
Area realtors have sold 16 percent more homes this August than they did last August. Sales are up all over the area, including St. Charles County.
Experts say it's the affordable prices that make the area the perfect place to buy a home.
John Gormley with St. Louis Realtors says 56 percent of the homes sold in August were sold for less than $200,000.
