CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — A new ice cream shop called Freezing Moo is bringing an East-Asian ice cream-making method all the way to St. Louis.

Freezing Moo makes their ice cream by pouring their homemade mixer on an icy grill set at -20 degrees.

Cookies, fruit, and other mix-ins are then added to the mix and spread across the grill.

The final step is to use a spatula to scrape and roll the tasty treat into its final state - perfectly sculpted ice cream rolls.

Their unique and fun menu includes flavors ‘Monkey Business,’ ‘Mint To Be’ and ‘Razzle Dazzle.’ They even offer a coconut milk cream base option for dairy free and vegan customers with no extra charge.

Originally from Thailand, rolled ice cream arrived in Kansas City when the first Freezing Moo opened in 2016.

Franchises have since opened with 10 other locations across Kansas, Missouri, and Georgia.

Freezing Moo is located at 42 THF Blvd in Chesterfield. Their hours are Sunday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
